Das wesentliche Thema des Projektvorhabens ist es zum einen, den Werkstoffkreislauf der Partikelsch\u00e4ume durch den Einsatz angepasster Recyclingverfahren und durch Etablierung von Recycling-Technologien und -Strategien industriell zu erm\u00f6glichen und dadurch nachhaltig zu schlie\u00dfen und zum anderen, durch Anwendung der neuartigen Radio-Frequenz-(RF-)Verfahrenstechnologie die Energieeffizienz der EPP-Verarbeitung signifikant zu steigern.<\/p>\n<p>Um dabei den Werkstoffkreislauf in sich schlie\u00dfen zu k\u00f6nnen, m\u00fcssen die Recyclingverfahren so weiterentwickelt werden, dass rezykliertes Partikelschaum-Altmaterial (End-of-Life) hochwertig aufbereitet wird, um es wieder in die Verarbeitungskette einspeisen und f\u00fcr die Herstellung von EPP-Schaumperlen nutzen zu k\u00f6nnen. Daf\u00fcr ist es zwingend erforderlich das Degradationsverhalten des Werkstoffs entlang seines Lebenszyklus aufzukl\u00e4ren, um Prozesse zur Aufbereitung zielgerichtet definieren zu k\u00f6nnen. Zudem ergibt sich durch den Einsatz der RF-Technologie aufgrund der spezifischen Art der Energieeinbringung aus dem Inneren heraus ein herausragendes Potential, den Anteil von Recyclingmaterial signifikant auf 50-70 % zu erh\u00f6hen. Begleitet werden diese beiden Schwerpunktthemen mit einer umfassenden Materialanalyse zur Bewertung der Werkstoffeigenschaften entlang des gesamten Kreislaufs sowie der Erstellung einer \u00d6kobilanz auch unter Ber\u00fccksichtigung mehrerer Recyclingdurchl\u00e4ufe der Werkstoffe.<\/p>\n<p>Das Institut f\u00fcr Leichtbau und Kunststofftechnik der TU Dresden wird schwerpunktm\u00e4\u00dfig einerseits die mechanische Charakterisierung der Partikelschaumstoffe sowie der Ausgangsmaterialien verantworten. Andererseits wird eine kombinierte FE- und datenbasierte Simulationsmethodik entwickelt, um auf der Ebene des Partikelschaumstoffes den Einfluss des Einsatzes von EPP-Rezyklat in Abh\u00e4ngigkeit von den Rezyklatbasisdaten vorauszuberechnen.
